Contestants are responsible for supplying the equipment needed to build their projects. Recommended hardware includes, though isn't limited to: laptops, mobile devices, e-readers, desktops and benign robots.

Yes, with two caveats:
1) You excuse yourself from the awards.
2) You promise to refrain from cornering our executive panelists to try a hard-sell. It not only doesn't work (attendees have tried), but it turns off our partners and is just bad for everyone. Not to say that shouldn't talk about your solution during judging and share details when they ask, just keep it more towards building a relationship and less towards a hard-sell.
No. This is an open health hackathon first. However, if you're looking to win the Most Practical award, then it's probably a good idea to build based on proposed actual industry needs.
Yes, we have custom laser-cut award plaques for winning teams and we'll have a special video interview to be posted online. If you'll only attend for cash prizes, this is probably not the hackathon for you. We're determined to break down the barriers of entry to healthcare entrepreneurship and look for attendees that truly want to make a difference.
